Q.  What style of homes will be available?
A.

Achieving diversity in and among the neighborhoods is a key architectural objective. For inspiration, we have selected five distinct, yet compatible, architectural styles for its builders to use as inspiration for their designs. The intent is to avoid box architecture and to encourage the application of detail and materials authentic to the spirit and character of each style. Porches are encouraged when appropriate to promote the casual atmosphere and walkable characteristics of the Rockbridge community.

The following styles will be available:
Pacific Northwest - With its lush forests, rugged landscape, and snow-covered mountains, the Pacific Northwest has spawned a style that is informal, organic, and above all eclectic.
American Traditional - This style includes the rural Mid-western Farmhouse and the more rustic Western Ranch. An informal connection to the land is prevalent as indicated in the simplified detailing. The porch is a key element of this style and the lifestyle it suggests.
Craftsman - The Craftsman style is characterized by the rustic texture of the building materials. Calling for craftsman quality in all aspects of the home, it is defined by informal massing, combined materials and attention to surface detail.
European Cottage - This style group evolved from and includes English Country and French Country architecture. Its charm is expressed in the use of informal, asymmetrical massing, natural, rustic materials and romantic character elements and details.
Tuscan - This style is inspired by the villas found in the sunflower covered valleys and hillsides of the Tuscany region of Italy. The Tuscan style exhibits the rustic character of its natural hillside settings.
